第七言：「父啊，我將我的靈交在你手裡。」（路廿三 46）
「父啊，我將我的靈魂交在你手裡。」這是耶穌在十字架上最後的一句話。聖經告訴我們，當耶穌說完了這句話，祂就斷氣了。
弟兄姊妹，我們有否想過，人生最後一句話講的，會是一句甚麼話？
馬奎斯著名的小說《愛在瘟疫蔓延時》中的男主角，當他從梯子上意外摔在地上，垂死的他向年老的妻子說：「只有上帝才曉得我究竟有多愛妳。」
當伊拉克獨裁者侯賽因被判死刑前，他遭到蒙面警衛責罵：「上帝詛咒你」，他同樣以「上帝詛咒你」回應，作為他死前的一句說話。
路德在人生最後階段，他寫了一句話：「真的，我們都是討飯的。」作為他對人性的體會，並對上帝恩典的信靠。
耶穌說：「父啊，我將我的靈魂交在你手裡。」這不但是耶穌所說的最後一句話，也是耶穌進入新生命，一種全然的信靠、交托、渴想。
禱告：主啊，我們也願意將生命交在你手裡，與主同在，永不分離。阿們。

Seventh Word: “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” (Luke 23:46)
“Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” This was Jesus’ last word on the cross. The Bible tells us, having said this Jesus breathed his last.
Brothers and sisters, have you ever thought of what the last words would be like at the end of one’s life?
In Gabriel García Márquez’s famous novel Love in the Time of Cholera, the protagonist said to his aged wife when he fell from a ladder and was about to die: “only God knows how much I love you”.
Before the Iraqi dictator Hussein was led to his execution after being sentenced to death, he was rebuked by the masked guard who said: “God curse you”, to which Hussein responded the same
“God curse you” to the guard. This was his last word.
In the final stage of his life, Martin Luther wrote: "We are all beggars. This is true." as an expression of his human experience and his reliance on God’s grace.
Jesus said: “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” This was not only the last word Jesus said, it was also the ultimate expression of a complete trust, commitment and longing as Jesus
entered a new life.
Prayer: O Lord, we also want to commit our lives in Your hand, to be with You forever, never to part. Amen.
